Sree Ramkrishna Silpa Vidyapith(L.C College) , one of the Oldest Polytechnic Institute In West Bengal Started Its Journey From 17 Nov, 1953 in A Municipal Go down In Duttapkur near Municipal Girl's School in Suri,Birbhum.During the early days,the institution offered only one course Licentiate in Civil Engineering[LCE]. This may be a reason why ,Sree Ramkrishna Silpa Vidyapith is still todayfondly called and known as LC College. The Institute Is Approved By The AICTE, Recognized By The Govt. Of West Bengal & WBSCTE. Sree Ramkrishna Silpa Vidyapith was taken over by the State Government in the Year 1977.
